The general aim of the formative program is the qualification of professionals graduated so that they purchase the scientific training and sufficient technician to planning and resolve the problems related with the desalinisation of salty waters and water of the sea, and with the reuse of residual waters.

The desalinisation of salty waters and water of the sea and the reuse of residual waters, are options to increase the water resources and, consistently, to help to solve the problematic of the water in the shortage areas.

They will treat the most notable appearances of these options: situation on a national scale and international, better available technologies, advantages and inconvenients, economic and social appearances, environmental impacts, perspectives of future.


The course is addressed to Degrees that wish to purchase a specific training in the fields of the desalinisation and the reuse, and to professionals of public and private companies that wish to purchase, complete or update his training in the complex interdisciplinary field related with the integral cycle of the water.

Modality: on-line. It complements with a on-site classes period to visit desalination treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants and systems of reuse (this period can be validated by an equivalent activity realised in the country of origin)


They will be able to access to the educations of this title typical of specialist those who are in possession of an official title of  University Education.

Likewise, the student that have obtained a title of  Expert at University of Alicante will be able to access to this title of specialist.

Also it will be able to access to the title the student that is currently in a degree  and it is about to finish (less than 18 credits).


  • Period of pre-registration: from 1 September 2018 to 31 January 2019. Form of pre-registration
  • Period of registration: from 20 December 2018 to 8 February 2019.

In addition to the modalities of enrollment established with general character by the University of Alicante, incidentally, for these studies contemplates the possibility to establish a enrollment corporate that make possible to a company or public administration that can credit the taxes of one or several students , that will happen to purchase with individual character the rights to the obtaining of the title.

In the cases of enrollment corporate will issue on request of the company, invoice directed to his name that allow him fulfil with his fiscal obligations and record. In those cases in which the companies have requested subsidies for the training of his employees or any another type of public help will facilitate the optimisation of the formalities by part of the university, awarding flexibility in the dates of broadcast of the bills requested to the margin of the calendar of receipts of matrícula established in the proposal of the course.

The price of the enrollment is of 2.100 euros in three equal terms

Attending to the general principles of respect to the fundamental rights and of equality between men and women, the principles of universal accessibility of the people with disability, and the own values of a culture of peace and of democratic values, the students have to purchase a series of general competitions.

The obtaining of these precise competitions, in some of them, the acquisition of others that can frame in the field of the transversal competitions purchased along the previous studies, and that cover different appearances of the personality, skill and degree of knowledges of the student.

They will purchase like minimum the following general competitions:

  • Capacity of synthesis and analysis of the different sources of information of critical form.
  • Capacity to work in team, as well as to lead, organise, schedule and supervise groups of investigation and of multidisciplinary work and multiculturales. Motivation by the quality.
  • Capacity to apply the knowledge purchased and comprise complex and multidimensional problems. Adaptation to new situations
  • Capacity to process, interpret and present data using technical of qualitative and quantitative analyses.
  • Capacity to communicate with experts of other areas.
  • Know purchase and use bibliographic and technical information and know the English terminology related with the matters.
  • Capacity of adaptation to the social and business needs.
  • Sensitivity by the environmental subjects and by the conservation of natural resources.


  • General knowledge of the problematic of the water and his evolution. General knowledge of all the technological elements involved in the integral cycle of aprovechamiento of the water. Concepts on gestión of resources.
  • Capacity to evaluate the factors that affect to the availability and quality of the water and to the water stress of the territories.
  • Capacity to analyse and value the final result of availability of  water resources.
  • Knowledge of the distinct forms to llevar the desalinisation of salty waters and water of the mar.
  • Knowledge of all the significant appearances related with the process of desalinisation by ósmosis reverse.
  • Knowledge of the new technicians that are testing for the desalinisation of the water.
  • Capacity to evaluate the environmental appearances related with the poured of the pertinent rejections of stations desalinizadoras, including his modelling.
  • Knowledge of all the appearances related with the real installations.
  • Knowledge of the situation and perspectives of the reuse of residual waters.
  • Knowledge of the rule, on a national scale and international, on environmental permissions and the rule that governs the processes of reuse.
  • Knowledge of the procedures of control of inorganic matter, organic matter and microbiological pollution in the residual waters.
  • Knowledge of the technologies of oxidation advanced and of the technologies of membranes applied to the reuse of residual waters.
  • Capacity to evaluate the application of the residual waters treated to the distinct possible uses, like irrigation, refill of aquifers, alimentary industry, fields of golf.
  • Capacity to value the economic and social appearances related with the reuse.
  • Aptitude to evaluate distinct alternatives of gestión from an integral and multidisciplinary approximation, and select the most efficient in a frame of sustainable development.


They will concede 2 scholarships by an amount of 1.050 euros each one for every 10 students registred in the course.

The criteria for the granting will take into account the previous training in the own matters of the course and the situation partner-economic of the applicants.
