GENERAL INFORMATION

STUDY PLAN

OBJECTIVE

The aim of the master's degree is to train highly qualified specialists in spatial planning, urban planning and environmental management, from the perspective of the circular economy. The training is intended to be multidisciplinary, transversal and focused on internationalization, as can be seen in the contents of the different modules and subjects, which range from environmental management, to economic-financial foundations, through spatial and urban planning, along with those complementary sectoral aspects.

SKILLS

The competences to be acquired through this training are the following:

  • Self-learning skills to search for information, analysis, synthesis, criticism, design, management and execution of projects or tasks within the framework of territorial sustainability;
  • Perform critical analysis and exercise self-criticism in aspects related to sustainability and the circular economy of the territories.
  • Integrate the knowledge linked to territorial sustainability, valuing its foundations and reflecting on its social implications; acquire multidisciplinary knowledge regarding territorial sustainability; apply theoretical knowledge to the practice of sustainable territorial and urban planning.
  • Acquire the ethical commitment to sustainability.
  • Communicating orally or in writing in a clear and appropriate manner to the context of territorial sustainability in the framework of the circular economy; know and apply the fundamental aspects of urban law, the planning of the territory and the environment to the solution of practical problems.
  • Manage multidisciplinary knowledge for the interpretation of territorial, urban and environmental regulations; be able to analyze from a critical perspective the common problems presented by territorial, urban and environmental regulations; be able to evaluate the sectoral problematic of the management and management of uses in the territory from the perspective of territorial sustainability;
  • Manage the legal techniques of territorial and urban planning.
  • Acquire the financial and taxation fundamentals applied to the territory and the environment.
  • Learn to analyse the territory from the perspective of the circular economy for a sustainable use of territorial resources.
  • Know the problems of the management of environmental goods: water, coasts, protected spaces, waste; acquire practical knowledge through real experiences of territory management.
  • Analyze the territory as a complex, interrelated and interdependent system.

PRE-REGISTRATION AND ENROLMENT

Once the pre-registrations have been received and studied, the students will be asked to send the required documentation of access: identity document and higher education degree. Once the students are admitted, they will be informed so that they can proceed with their registration.
